Leveraging New Business
while Increasing Moral
Writer, Project Manager
Case Studies and Proposal Template
Jenn Hyvonen delivered a series of results-oriented case studies to help a qualitative research firm leverage past client success into new business. The firm had recently gone through a brand refresh and was setting the stage to unlock their carefully earned growth potential.
In a follow-up call, the Founding Director reengaged Hyvonen to write for a new business proposal. Turns out, the firm was converting their proposal templates from MS Word to PowerPoint, and so far, the process was onerous with a slow response time. The previous word-centric format was not easily converting to PowerPoint’s visual platform that demands every word to carry its own weight.
By the end of the day, Hyvonen worked through the immediate challenges and submitted not one, but two new business proposals. Within 20 minutes, both were awarded, and clients commented that the research ideas and processes were very well presented and clearly understood. Hyvonen became the firm's 'good luck charm,’ but in reality that is simply the power of action-oriented writing that speaks directly to the hearts and minds of an audience.
Hyvonen then set a plan to fully develop a new power-word, highly-visual PowerPoint Proposal Template that would be client centered and save on prep time.
Within a week, the firm had its new template along with several drag-and-drop photo and content options. The result was a decrease in writing time and an increase staff morale.
