Strategic Planning Facilitator
An employment service and mentoring nonprofit had a “small” problem. Born out of a close-knit interfaith collation, service and infrastructure needs were growing beyond the original funding base.
In 2017, I started converting their grant, marketing, and speech messages into story-based narratives and revamped their End of Year Giving Campaign to include a giving match, an integrated direct mail and digital marketing component. In early 2018, I lead the organization through a strategic planning process to take aim at double revenue and increase capacity by 140% by 2023. To get there, the organization is developing clear board of director roles followed by engagement and recruitment strategies as well as a focusing resources towards hiring a development director to build a comprehensive development function.
Today in Year 1, funds have been secured to hire a development director, 2 new board members have been added, revenue is set to increase by 33%, and 10% more clients will be served.
